  • The purpose of the club is to support and encourage students in their spiritual growth and to introduce students to the "gospel" of Jesus Christ.  While the size of the college group fluctuates from year to year, we strive to encourage each student as they pass through this phase of their lives.  If you know of college students planning to attend Southeast Missouri State University and would like for contacts to be made with them, please email the contact information to churchoffice@capechurchofchrist.org

COLLEGE STUDENTS NEWS AND NOTES

GOOD NEWS!  Austin Holiman, a recent student at SEMO has agreed to be an assistant evangelist with the West End congregation and will be working with us beginning in January, 2012.  Austin will be our speaker for the Sunday evening worship on January 8th.

ALL COLLEGE STUDENTS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND ANY OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING UNIT MEETINGS:
Unit 2 (Tanner unit) will meet on Sunday, Feb. 12th at the Tanner home (1327 Wayne Street) at 5:30 p.m.   Linda Tansil will be the hostess

Unit 1 (Hardesty unit) will meet Sunday, January 22nd, after morning services in the Fellowship Room.

Our college students will be meeting to bowl on Saturday, January 21nd at 7 p.m. at the West Park Lanes.  Shoe rental is $2.75 and games are $3.75 each. 
The campus group will also have a new group name.  It is Light for Christ.  If you have any ideas for activities or service projects for the college students, please see Austin Holiman.

Tuesday and Wednesday Suppers - If you're not taking advantage of the free meals on Tuesdays (at the home of Larry and Karen Tanner) and on Wednesdays (at the home of Sam and Jan Jarrell), you may want to reconsider.  An evening of a meal, followed by Bible Study, is a pretty nice way to spend the time!
